FROG Membership Reaches 50,000!

1/1/2099 12:00:00 AM

FROG, the Forest River Owners’ Group, recently achieved a milestone as it registered its 50,000th member family, reports FROG Director Bob Byrne. While the group does not release membership lists, Byrne said that the milestone registration came from a couple in Escondido, CA.

“We’re tremendously excited at having reached this goal in just under four years,” Byrne said. “Growing from being a fledgling group with no members at the beginning of 2012 to achieving a membership of over 50,000 by the close of 2015 speaks highly not only of the organization, but also of Forest River and of the confidence that our owners and members have placed in us.”

FROG’s achievement comes just as Forest River, founded in 1996 by Pete Liegl, celebrates its 20th Anniversary.

“Pete recently wrote a letter of appreciation to Forest River dealers, owners, suppliers, and employees,” Byrne said. “In it, he mentioned that Forest River is ranked #1 in Motorhomes, #1 in Towables, #1 in Buses, and #1 in Cargo Trailers,” Byrne said. “He can also claim the #1 manufacturer-sponsored owners’ club in the industry.”

Since its inception, FROG has sponsored trips, rallies, and other events in twenty-six states and one province. Attendance at its annual FROG International Rally has grown from just over 200 in 2012 to 700 last year, and is expected to exceed 800 this year. Membership encompasses every state and province in the United States and Canada, and at least two overseas countries.

“At Forest River, Pete has instilled an attitude that I describe as, ‘Always Happy, Never Satisfied,’” Byrne said. “Reaching this level of membership is a great achievement. We’re doing a good job, now we need to see how we can be even better.”
